Ingredients
- 200g paneer
- 3 medium tomatoes
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 green chilies
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Dice the paneer into 1 inch cubes. Place on a paper towel and press gently to remove excess moisture.
- Chop the onion, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and green chilies, and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Let them crackle for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until golden brown.
- Add the ginger, garlic, and green chilies, and cook for a minute.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and mushy.
- Add the coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala, and mix well.
- Blend the mixture into a smooth paste.
- Return the paste to the pan and add the diced paneer. Cook until the paneer is well coated.
- Pour in the heavy cream and mix well.
- Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or naan.
